Do you want to know how many headlines on insurance across various media that have sprung up since president Donald Trump came on the scene? Are you prepared for me to roll back the media curtain a bit so you can have a glimpse on some of these screaming insurance headlines? Well, sit tight and buckle your seat belt. Here is my disclaimer. Don’t blame me if you faint! When you have finished going through this list of headlines, I’ll give you links at the bottom so that you can read the articles if you so wish. Let’s get started with the first headline.
“Donald Trump has no idea what health insurance costs”1
Are you sure? That was my reaction when I saw that headline. It can’t be true for certain. How can the whole United States president not know about little things like health insurance costs when he deals with far much more complex issues? Besides don’t forget you are talking about an astute businessman. A billionaire for that matter who knows about the ins and outs of business. What little thing about insurance can he not understand? But then, somebody else came out again with another headline and it hit me like a ton of bricks.
“Donald Trump Thinks Health Insurance Costs $15 a Month”2
Well, well, well. Can this really be true? I will tell you one thing. I have learnt not to dispute things easily without putting a thought to it no matter how weird it may seem. Who knows? May be you have been sold a lie all along. And someone comes with a solution. Boom! So why dispute? For now, I will stick with president Trump’s thought until someone proves otherwise. But please do not accuse the president like this one did below.
“Trump Is Now Threatening to Sabotage Millions of Insurance Plans …”3
Do you see where we are going with this? Well, I aren’t quite sure yet but looks like things are just being heaped on president Trump. People accused of sabotage do not often have the interests of the nation at heart. The president has assured time and again that he has the interests of America at his heart. That he will protect America and its nationals. This is why in my humble opinion, companies being referred to in the headline below, should have their motives examined.
“Insurance companies are freaking out about Trump’s Obamacare threats”4
By now you’re probably wondering if I’m just cooking up these headlines. If you just stay with me for a while, I have promised you that I will give you all the links where these headlines are coming from. And you can read them for yourself. My only advice for now is that you should brace yourself for much more, especially if things get as scary as this….
“Pregnancy to cost 425% more under Donald Trump’s health plan compared to Obamacare”5

Really? Could that be just the tip of the iceberg? Well it may as well be a clincher of all insurance headlines from the Trump administration. But it doesn’t stop there. I figured there was much more to come. And if you complained about Obamacare it may even be too late for you to say……..
“This is not the health-care bill that Trump promised”6
What the heck? A promise is only but a promise. One can choose not to keep it if they so wish. On the other hand you could also have misinterpreted the promise. Whatever the case, this should not give you the audacity to ask in this manner….
“Does Donald Trump Know the Difference Between Health Insurance and Life Insurance?”7
What answer do you really expect when you ask in that manner? Do you really expect Donald Trump or a member of his administration to say no, president Trump does not know the difference? Of course not. That is why the next headline was like spot on, a prompt and direct answer, except they added things they should probably have not done so.
“Trump Says He Knows About Health Care, But Some Of His Facts Seem Alternative”8
Be it as it may, president Trump has a very strong support base. Nothing can shake the resolve of president Trump’s supporters. His supporters are very fascinating and to show you that they mean business, they had to do this…………
“Trump Supporters Celebrate Imminent Loss Of Their Health Insurance”9
It probably was an issue of enough is enough. They could not bear anymore of the issues on health insurance with the Obama administration. Something had to change. A cure had to be found and whoever coined the headline below did not miss the point.
“Health insurance woes helped elect Trump, but his cure may be more painful”10
It does not matter anymore. Whatever happens does not matter. Even this…..
“Donald Trump’s Latest Negotiating Tactic On Healthcare Could Hurt Your Subsidies”11
But be rest assured. That there is a plan. A grand healthcare plan for everyone. And you know what that plan will do? Here is what it will do.
“Trump healthcare plan ‘will strip insurance from 14 million’”12
Things are on rapid fire and are changing at a fast rate. You don’t need to lag behind. This is a new America. An America where the Trump administration have made a solemn promise. That from now on Americans will come first. Except I’m not sure if this is part of the new America ……..
“In Trump’s America, Being Sexually Assaulted Could Make Your Health Insurance More Expensive”13
In this new America, change is of the essence. Even a promise can change at the drop of a hat. So don’t worry when you hear this….
“Donald Trump’s Promise Of ‘Insurance For Everybody’ Now Comes With Caveats”14
Maybe. Just maybe that is why the former president had this to say at one time.
“Barack Obama Says Donald Trump Is More Concerned With ‘Kicking People Off Their Health Insurance’”15
And don’t think president Trump has forgotten about the wall he promised to build. That one will be built for sure. No matter what. Even if Mexico is resisting to pay for it now, there are other means still available. Here is just one.
“Trump Wants Miami to Pay for His Wall With Hiked Flood Insurance Rates”16
Now, I said I had seen enough of these insurance headlines. And I thought the best way to provide positive feedback on this matter to the Trump administration was to write a letter to the president. But before I could write a word, somebody had already beaten me to it.
“A Letter to Donald Trump About Health Care”17
Suddenly I stopped in my tracks. Not because somebody had beaten me to write a letter to president Trump. It is because what I saw next sent a cold chill up my spine. I’m not sure if it is scary or outrageous or both.
“Trump’s Death Panel: White House Official Says Diabetes Sufferers Don’t Deserve Health Insurance”18
I may have fainted. But that is probably another story.
